The Heiva is an annual cultural event in Polynesia. The Heiva of Bora Bora is unique and has the particularity of having a sandy stage. It is a real moment of sharing and celebration. Love Bora Bora has decided to highlight the actors of the Heiva to discover the work behind this event.

The following articles were created thanks to these actors who love their culture, dance and music. All the people who participate and contribute to the Heiva, whatever their role, demonstrate an immense dedication to perpetuating this tradition passed on by their ancestors. From generation to generation, the Heiva takes place and Bora Bora comes alive throughout the month of July.

Heiva i Bora Bora 2025 dates

The Heiva 2025 dates are now officials! The Heiva i Bora Bora will take place from June 25th to August 3rd. The main performances will take place on the first three weeks. So be sure not to miss it.

Heiva tickets

To best see the shows, it is recommended to purchase tickets to be seated. The shows usually start at 8 pm with the Himene (traditionnal songs). At 9 pm you will then assist to the dance performance. Once you buy your ticket, you can assist to one or both shows.

You can buy your tickets during the opening hours of the heiva office (located next to the pier) or directly in the evening. If you assist to the first show of the Heiva (the big opening), I highly recommend you to buy your tickets ahead. Otherwise, you can come around 6pm once the counter is opened, purchase your tickets, and go to eat in a “baraque” (pop up restaurants around) before the show.

If you’re staying in a hotel in Bora Bora you can buy directly the tickets from your concierge. These will include the transfers and the tickets. The seats are usually high and centered.
