One night at the Conrad Bora Bora Nui

In the middle of the Pacific, Bora Bora attracts thousands of visitors each year for its lagoon and its beauty, a true heaven. Like a small oasis in paradise, the Conrad Bora Bora Nui is located on the motu To’opua. Love Bora Bora spent 24 hours at the Conrad Bora Bora Nui and tells you more about this luxurious resort.

First hours at Conrad Bora Bora Nui

After a short boat ride on the turquoise lagoon of Bora Bora, we can already admire a beautiful view of the small hill of motu To’opua (small islet around the main island), the beach and the overwater bungalows.

Each guest is greeted by a butler who also takes care of the check in. A welcome mocktail is offered to us as we go through the formalities of arrival. Our butler gives us a tour of the resort and takes us to our villa. On top of that, we can already book our restaurant for the evening. Everything is set to let us enjoy the hotel. We already feel that we will have a good stay…

Comfortable villas

The overwater bungalows are spacious and offer a stunning view of the lagoon. Depending on the orientation of the bungalow, it is possible to see the island of Raiatea or Maupiti, to enjoy the sunset or to have a view on the mountain of Bora Bora.

The decoration is sober and elegant with small Polynesian floral touches. Fresh tiare flowers adorn the amenities offered by the hotel. The bedspread is decorated with a floral decoration as a welcome. The bungalow has the possibility to be fully open on the terrace. You can enjoy the endless view of the ocean from the large wooden deck.

Two hammock-like nets allow you to relax and enjoy the sight. In the night, it is the perfect place to gaze at the starry South Pacific sky.

The bathroom is very spacious and includes a huge circular bathtub and a rain shower. It is covered in a light wood and is pleasant. The bath products offered are from Byredo, a Swedish luxury perfumer. The Conrad Bora Bora Nui even puts its signature on the small oshiburis in the bathroom.

The television is elegantly hidden in front of the bed and is raised with a remote control. Bluetooth-connected speakers let you listen to your favorite playlist on the terrace, in the bedroom or in the bathroom.

A large choice of categories

The Conrad Bora Bora Nui has the advantage of offering several distinct categories. Indeed, in addition to the different views, it is possible to opt for an overwater villa with pool. The presidential villas, the most privileged category, are sumptuous, and spread over 2 floors with 3 large bedrooms.

The garden villas are also a great asset for this hotel located on a motu 100 meters high. The plants and trees of Polynesia decorate and shade these villas, a true haven of peace. Some of them have a private pool and offer an incomparable view of the lagoon and its various shades of blue.

Tama’a

We tested the Upa Upa lounge bar located on the water at the end of the pontoon. The decoration is sophisticated and contemporary. Its glass backdrop allows you to admire the corals. The Upa Upa lounge bar offers Japanese-style cuisine, with sushi, nagiri, and rolls. Delicious cocktails are served along with the meal. Also on Saturday evenings, you will have the opportunity to enjoy musical entertainment by talented artists from Bora Bora.

Breakfast is served at the Iriatai restaurant and offers a nice varied buffet with fresh orange juice.

Every Friday is Polynesian Day with the opening of the Tahitian oven and a Polynesian dance show by the Vai Ihi Nui troupe at Tamure restaurant. This is an opportunity to discover the local flavors with the Polynesian buffet prepared in the Tahitian oven (a method of cooking food in a hollowed out oven covered with banana leaves).

Our favorite is the Tarava Pool bar and its submerged lounge. To get there, you just have to walk on the small black stones at the water’s edge that lead you to your lounge area. Naturally ventilated by the shade of the trees, this privileged space is very relaxing. At noon, it is possible to have lunch and enjoy the menu of the Tamure restaurant. We recommend the dish with coconut heart and smoked swordfish. A real delight…

Sumptuous nature

The environment makes the Conrad Bora Bora Nui a unique hotel on Bora Bora. Its lush nature includes the most beautiful trees of Polynesia. Among them the legendary Banyan tree overlooks the Chinese restaurant called the Banyan restaurant. To dine at the Banyan is to savor quality dishes in a relaxing space where the power of legends comes to life.

Indeed, the motu To’opua, stands in the Polynesian legends of Bora Bora. Powerful places of worship, the marae, surrounded the highland where the Hina Spa is located. These marae are charged with mana, spiritual power. This can still be felt when you walk around the resort. Hina Spa is named after the goddess Hina, who is presented in legends as the ambassador of beauty, gentleness and well-being.

Hina Spa, a place of well-being

The Hina Spa, located on the heights of the motu, offers massage rooms with Jacuzzi in small fare (bungalows) offering a breathtaking view of the hotel, the lagoon and the ocean. This wellness area is the ideal place to rest and feel the beauty of Polynesia.

Not far from the spa is the chapel where weddings are celebrated and a magnificent view of the emblematic Mount Otemanu.

A range of activities

Beyond its vast natural space, the Conrad Bora Bora Nui offers a variety of activities with its tennis court, gym, kids club, musical entertainment on the beach and cultural activities at the pool. It also hosts a golf simulator that will seduce golf lovers and their families. Indeed, the simulator also offers interactive games that will delight children and adults.

Departure with the sound of the ukulele

The departure approaches. We are crowned with a shell necklace and accompanied to the boat by the sweet sound of the ukulele. This idyllic parenthesis is gradually fading away and already leaves us with peaceful memories
