The Deep Ocean Spa

The Deep Ocean Spa is ideally located at the Intercontinental Bora Bora Resort and Thalasso Spa on the motu Piti Au’u where you get a sumptuous view of Mount Otemanu.

It covers 4,000 square meters and offers a vast outdoor space with jacuzzis and multi-jet baths, a relaxation room on the ocean side, but also massage rooms in glass-bottomed bungalows that allow you to observe the treasures of the lagoon during your treatments.

The Deep Ocean Spa uses water from the depths of the ocean, which you can enjoy during your spa treatments.

The treatments

I tested the Deep Ocean Spa‘s special treatment : the Relaxing Pearl Rain Massage. It is a 40-minute massage under a warm deep sea water shower. The effect of the water and the massage make it an exceptional treatment for guaranteed relaxation.

To extend the benefits and relax, you can pick the Algospa Body Wrap treatment which is a body mask. You can choose the action of the treatment (relaxing, remineralizing, contouring or purifying) and you will be wrapped on a water bed like in a cocoon. It is a truly relaxing and soothing treatment. The staff is very professional and puts you at ease right away.

Sand’s restaurant

Lunch is at the Sand’s restaurant at the Intercontinental Bora Bora Resort and Thalasso Spa. The restaurant overlooks the beach and faces Mount Otemanu offering one of the most beautiful views of Bora Bora. The menu is varied and gives the possibility to taste fresh dishes with local products like tuna or octopus. The poke bowl and fried octopus are a real delight!

The relaxation areas

It is possible to enjoy the jacuzzis and outdoor baths while admiring the view of Mount Otemanu and the hotel. The spa offers a hammam with a fresh water bath, sensory showers, a herbal tea room and the “fare ocean” where you can relax while listening to the sound of the ocean located just in front. The spaces are calm and soothing. Time stops during this privileged moment with yourself.

Please note that the option of a day pass at the Deep Ocean Spa is not available anymore until further notice. Only guests at the Intercontinental Bora Bora Resort and Thalasso Spa can access to the spa.
